After ten successful years as a leading tenor in the world of opera, Dennis McNeil has returned to his ancestral roots with this live recording of Irish music. In Celtic Fire, Dennis and his brilliant Celtic ensemble explore some of the most beautiful traditional songs for Irish tenor; creating an original sound which blends folk, classical, and contemporary music. Highlighted on this recording are two original songs: When You Are Old and Gray which was composed for Dennis by friend, Richard B. Evans, to the brilliant W. B. Yeats text; and The Gary Owens Lament which was and performed by guitarist, Robert Emmett Dunlap with Dennis on the Harmonica.
