CD Reviews

Hilarious--as non-politically correct as you can get!

(5 out of 5 stars)

"Dennis Miller's "Rants" are basically his takes on various subjects, from the religious right to homosexuality. He is an equal opportunity insulter, espousing opinions that are likely to be offensive to both conservatives and liberals. Regardless of whether you agree with Dennis's political views, however, you just can't help but to laugh out loud at his sheer outrageousness. His take on violence is right up there with Michael Moore's "Bowling for Columbine," and his suggestion that all parents should obtain a license actually makes sense. He even takes a shot at his own intellectual prowess in the section "Is intelligence a liability?" Dennis...you may not like him, but you've gotta love him!"
So-so

"A previous review gave this 1 star because it wasn't "live". This is an audio book. The publisher name (Bantam Audio Publishing) should tip anyone off. That being said, since this is really a book, not every line is funny in of itself. If you've watched Dennis Miller on HBO do a rant (not the monologue), then it's pretty much like that. Some stuff comes straight out of his Off-White album though, so be ready for some repetition."
Dennis Miller reminds us that the world is crazy.

"Miller "rants" about all of the insane ideas, concepts and beliefs that, unfortunately, alot of people harbor. He will make you howl at the absurdity of what is going on around you.I liked the format of just Dennis talking. It makes everything he says understandable; unlike a concert where punchlines are sometimes missed because of audience noise."
