"I wrote a piece on this page about 5 years ago; naturally it's great to still see that our record "pub" still draws appreciation from those of you who can find it! I was recently married and the original line-up from that record played at the reception; we estimated for the first time in nine years. A website explaining all things Denzil is finally on it's way - it will take a few months, the URL will be denzilpub and british - geddit?"

""Pub" is one of the more hook-laden CD's I have come across in recent history. Every song is completely different, with a charm of it's own. Somehow, Denzil has managed to weave an album of interesting pop, folk, rock, and an occasional goofball song, and then dessapear from the face of the earth. I hope, for music fans like myself, that this wasn't his debut AND swansong."
One of my all-time favorite CD's!

"This is one of those "stuck on a deserted island" collections. With it's catchy lyrics, melodies and hooks, Pub is the "must have" for any one who likes a well crafted song. Each one is a masterpiece in it's own right, with flawless production. The mix of acoustic and electric guitars has a folky feel anchored by a hard edge, with a definite 90's+ sound. The self-depreciating lyrics are definitely worth appreciating. My only question is: Denzil, what happened? The CD came out several years ago, and I haven't heard anything since. I would have figured he'd be Elvis by now."
