"Here it is,at last! A C.D. of The Dickies doing what they do best... COVER VERSIONS! For ages,The Dickies, have had to have at least one cover version per album, and now they've released a full c.d. of just covers. ( And this ain't no "Best of..." package,Sherman! ). The basics are this....The Dickies select their favorite tunes, and speed them up,making for some brilliant music. And unlike so many other "punk" bands,The Dickies don't spend half the song using feedback, distorted guitars, and growled lyrics. You can understand what they are saying and playing! ( And it's fun!) The Dickies above all else genuinely love the songs they cover, and have fun playing them! Where else will you find songs by The Wierdos and Donovan residing on the same album? ( Well....there's a Perry Como album, but that's long out of print.). The Beatles finally get Dickie-ized,in a wonderfully loud version of "There's A Place". The Knack are finally made respectable and listenable by the manic cover of "Let Me Out"! We are also treated to brilliant versions of songs by Iron Butterfly,Uriah Heep,The Human Beings, and The Hollies! So whether you're an old school Dickies fan,a new fan,or just someone whom enjoys a good cover version....LAP THIS UP SHRINERS!!"
