"Dikta. Calm down, calm down... Yes, they're VERY good. Alternative rock or just rock. Influences? Jeff Buckley (the singing), Muse (composing and playing - even the piano) and strange as it seems Therapy? because of nostalgia and also the guitar section: think about "Chloe" (track 3) and be disturbed about the anger, it will fly you away from your comfort zone, get you asking questions but more important demanding answers. The Bad Taste Label has gifted and spoiled us with Björk and Sigur Rós. This 2nd album was produced by Skunk Anansie's Ace. These are young chaps from Iceland as you might have guessed this far and they rock! Very solid album with strong melodies and original songs. All instruments get to show their own personality (no stars) and you notice this through a carefully elaborated (and produced) album. It is no suprise that such a well thought and complete cover (and inlay art) would be backing a very good musical bet. I mentioned "Chloe" back there, but feel no strains to discover the rest. Begin from the beginning (?!) and enjoy "Losing Every Day", get inspired from "Breaking The Waves", fear the power of "Chloe", numb yourself with "This Song Will Save The World", etc. It's a very High-Low album - in terms of style variances - with good quality, strong and complete songs. Although I would prefer another lineup, the first 3 songs go up and then the album becomes erratic emotionswise - i.e. emotions are completely shaked because of big variances in tempo and style. If you're Ok with that (and I am), it's a must. This is a pleasant novelty from the (still) cold country that gave us "happinesses" other than Dikta. But like them, I'm still hunting for something but felt free to stop and enjoy this musical nectar."
