Dio - 'Master Of The Moon' (Sanctuary)

"Much stronger Dio release than I had expected. Heard a couple of other fans comment this CD wasn't 'all that'. Actually, it's pretty damn good, I thought. The songwriting and the playing may not be Dio's best ever but his vocals appear to be in top form. Tracks that made me sit up and take notice were "The End Of The World", the *ss-kicking "Shivers", "The Man Who Would Be King", "Living The Lie", the earth-pounding "I Am" and the total Dio-esque "Death By Love". Personally, I hadn't seen Ronnie James and crew out on tour for awhile now. This effort proves the rock & roll Elf is still in full force."
