"This set contains only the Laurie hits from Dion and Dion and the Belmonts. It doesn't have the four Columbia hits "This little girl", "Be careful of stones you throw" "Drip Drop" and most importantly for me, "Donna the Prima Donna".The recorded sound is good, there's clearly been some digital remastering done, and it does contain 23 belting tracks which were the hits, with no fill or padding. It also contains a CD ROM which offers the "story" in four languages (English, German, Spanish and French). The idea is a good one, and something that companies like Rhino might like to consider as an alternative to those bulky books that try to give too much information in an incredibly small fonts size. This particular disk contains 5 (colored) pictures, discography and biography, though not in enough depth to satisfy avid discophiles.The sleeve information is similarly thin.Its a great "in-car" disc, but it's about time somebody did a proper boxed set that contexturalises where Dion and Dion and the Belmonts are coming from. For me it started with a package show with Dion, Tony Orlando and Gene McDaniels that came to my home town...but that's another story!"
