"After recovering from the shock of Taiyo no Ao (which was a pop-ballad and incredibly NOT Dir en grey sounding), fans were even more dismayed to learn that the next single "Ain't afraid to die" would be yet another ballad. The day that it was released however, the fans' view changed. It was indeed a ballad, but it was an extremely powerful and unique sounding one. I've heard nothing but praise for this song. For my personal view, I say the same thing. This is a VERY sad and moving song. The first time I heard it, I almost cried despite the fact that I could not understand a lot of the words. The use of silence, loud guitars, eerie piano, a children's choir, all mixed together makes for a very unique experience. I love this song. Despite being slow, it is also very catchy. The c/w songs are both remixes of the first song. I like the title track the best though. Die's remix has a kind of latin sound with a prodominate keyboard, and Shinya's mix is very delicate and almost Christmas-y sounding. I give my thumbs up to "Ain't afraid to die""
