Tales from the tightrope vol.1 is the anthology of very early sounds of Directorsound. During the years 1999-2003, Nick Palmer a.k.a. Directorsound created music in a bed room. In this anthology, you can feel Nick's joy of creation and his joy of new discovery. The beautiful melody Nick created has been frozen by magic in this album. Although he was merely 20 at the time of the recording, he has created music with rich texture and unique sense of touch. The beautiful Lo-Fi sound of Tales from the tightrope vol.1 reminds us of Ennio Morricone writing music by himself taking a long holiday at his house. Nick created music fit for a fantasy soundtrack with acoustic sounds such as piano, drums and guitar. The sounds of the instruments he plays melt perfectly each other and it provides a friendly atmosphere to the album. The young Nick Palmer created this warm atmosphere with a graceful touch. It is a long running masterpiece. This is the official release of the anthology of Directorsound, once released from Nick and his friends' label as a CD-R. For this album, Nick added his new tracks and re-edited the sounds.
