Psycho-fuzz-lo-fi-noize from Mick Collins

"Any one who has paid attention to the work of Mick Collins in his other bands (Gories, Blacktop, Screws, King Sound Quartet) knows that he's got a way with Rn' B and the blues that simply can't be touched by anybody else. On this debut album by his most current band the Dirtbombs, however, he's gone for a completely over-the-top fuzzed-out noise blow-out. This is some NASTY sounding stuff. Underneath the dirt and murk you can still hear the resonance of blues and Rn'B, but this is a way more PUNK record than any he's done before. One song is even a dead ringer for Black Flag. While not quite up there with Blacktop or the fantastic Screws, this is still a great record. Play it loud at your own risk."
