CD Reviews

Best San Diego Band Ever
Monica Vanstelle | San Diego, CA USA | 07/16/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"I 1st saw this band opening for "The Killers" in April 2007 and they absolutely "Stole the show". That night I bought 2 CD's at the end of their set. If you love Classic rock, Original Lyrics and music then this is truly a must have CD. Their music is reminiscent of Led Zeppelin, Lynard Skynard, Aerosmith, Motley Crue and Ac/Dc, to name just a few. Their music and style are absolutely incredible and their sound is their own and fresh. "Dirty Sweet" brings it all to this CD. From the first track to the last you will be awed. I have seen them play Live 3 times and can not get enough. This San Diego band is the best I have ever seen or heard! Dirty Sweet is about to take over the music world as we know it!!!"
Dirty Sweet Saves Rock & Roll
Peachy Honduras | 05/16/2007
(5 out of 5 stars)

"Dirty Sweet has a natural gift for paying homage to the roots of great rock & roll while creating something new and exciting. The music is not contrived, and having seen them live (one of the best shows I've seen in years) can say that they do it purely for the love of music."
Shake That Thang
Frank Whiskey | England, UK | 02/29/2008
(4 out of 5 stars)

"As debuts go this is impressive and on this form things headed in the right direction. Written and produced by the band themselves they deliver a crisp, balls out high tempo rock record with a tasty garage/country cocktail to cross over several billboards. It's produced well giving this long play a 'live sound' and steering well away from all the masses over production jiggery-pokery.

In the family tree of things the Black Oak Arkansas/Grand Funk Railroad/Black Crowes siblings are a chip off the old block. Word round the camp fire is that the live shows are tremendous and the potential this record shows dictates that here is a band which is only going to get better and better."
