Album DescriptionRising from the ashes of several prominent Chicago bands, the members of Divide By Zerocame together in October of 2002 looking to move forward in a direction different from any of their previous efforts. Guitarist Tom Aaron explains, "The band took on a shape and sound of its own from the start. We had no definite idea of what we wanted the new band to sound like, but TJ's vocal style definitely fueled a much heavier and intricate sound than the straightforward style of bands we had previously been in." That heavier and more intricate sound has led to one of the most promising bands to emerge out of the thriving Chicago music scene. Within months the band was playing out live and gaining a reputation for an energetic and passionate live show. "Playing live is the reason we are in a band. We pride ourselves on our live show," says Tom. When asked what to expect from a Divide By Zeroshow, Bassist John simply added with an ominous smile, "They can expect to get tore up. Playing live is what we live for." Featuring former members of Logan's Loss, The Eclectics, and John Brown Battery, Divide By Zero's debut full-length, Answer to No One, follows the band's successful release of two prior EPs on Chicago's Sinister Label (Spitafield) and Waste of Time Records (The Snake, The Cross, The Crown).
