"I guess it's a shame we had to wait 16 years for an average follow-up to an absolutely perfect debut. That's probably why my rating leans towards 3 instead of 4. This record is OK but that's it. The production is mostly good except for a weird snare sound. Danny's voice is still very strong but there's no point if the songs aren't there. I think the songs are missing the perfect lyrics and melodies of the debut and the lack of keyboards is definitely contributing to the averageness. Despite this, there are a couple of really good songs like "I thought about you" and "heaven only knows". The song "I will get over you" is brilliant and could easily fit on the legendary debut album. I wish this was released as a Danny Malone solo record instead so that the "Diving For Pearls" name could be associated with perfection forever."
