"If you like Black Label Society, Black Sabbath, Anthrax, and even heaven forbid, a decent kid rock(for the semi rap songs) , this album may be right up your alley. Nice balance on everything, Vocalist sounds to me like Zakk Wyld with the exception that this singers voce fits perfect for the rhythmic metal (unlike Zakk Wylde on BLS albums who just sound harsh). Guitars are right on while the drums pound on methodically but not monotonously.
These guys did a nice remake of Simple Man by Lynard Skynard, with a considerably harder edge. None of the other tracts fall short of the target either, in fact Simple Man is one of the least jamming songs on the album.
I heard this album playing today in the record store and told the owner that I guess I will have to take this album too, and he told me that it was the demo and he was not suppose to sell it, at which point I had to tell him that "by hook or by crook", I was not leaving without it.
Even the version of Stand alone which is marked "rap" (which I abhor) sounds good.
One of the catchiest songs to me is "Brings Me Down"
Not Sure who these guys are but judging from the insert, they seem to just be a group of partying rockers. I could not find any info on who or where they are from, but they certainly know how to rock from wherever they come. Nice work guys, and hope to see you on the road sometime."
