"I saw Don't Look Down a couple weeks ago at the 9:30 club in DC where they opened for MXPX, Simple Plan and Sugarcult. I must say that they really surprised me because i didn't have high expectations for an opener, especially one that i've never heard of (which is a bit close-minded of myself), but i've seen some horrible pre-show bands in the past. Needless to say, they were amazing and that's why i'm writing this review:) I've seen some previous reviews mention that their style isn't "revolutionary".. which i can remotely agree with - the sound is not new to my ear, when i first heard their music i kind of thought of Fall Out Boy and New Found Glory but they most definitely add their own flavor that they've mixed up and refined a bit. I bought "Five" from the bassist Jesse after the show and have not been able to take it out of my CD player!! VERY catchy and VERY full of range... that's one thing i was extremely impressed by - specifically the guitarist.. his talent and range is almost enough to compare to musical geniouses such as Thrice. I'm gonna run out and buy "Start the Show" ASAP and am anxiously awaiting the release of their next LP. You should go out and buy them also.. they're worth the time seeing live - i don't think you'll be disappointed."
