Erratic compilation comin' at' ya

"For reasons that aren't explained,Joel Dorn the compiler of this welcome reissue of Don Patterson's Muse Records material, has used tracks from three sessions spread over four years. The resulting album has 5 tracks from "These are soulful days", 2 from "Movin'up" and 1 from "The return of Don Patterson".The latter is really not very good at all, the drummer seems all over the place. The rest, and particularly tracks 1,3,4 & 5 are excellent examples of what Patterson was capable of achieving with a Hammond B3. He receives stirling support from the Heath brothers and Pat Martino plays some sinewy guitar. Recommended for those tracks, and also for the excellent story in the sleevenotes about Sonny Stitt!"
Another great reissue by 32 jazz

"This is an excellent groovy album. Those Muse sessions are really good, especialy the first 4 tunes with Jimmy and Albert Heath and Pat Martino. And at this price you can't afford not to add this record to your collection if you're a serious jazz organ maniac."
