"This project is simply AWESOME!!! So awesome, in fact, that I'm going to give a detailed review of each song.
The Word of the Lord: GREAT for contemporary christian/gospel praise teams. Kinda reminds me of Israel and New Breed with the world sounding beginning. The musicians really did their thing.
Back II Eden: AMAZING SONG!!! This was the right choice for a lead single. When you combine the infectious music with the spirit filled message and the soulful ad-libs of Floyd Wilkinson make this song a strong hit. Probably why it's my absolute favorite from the album.
The Law of Confession: One of my favorites. Can't believe Donald put in a word like "homo-logeo" and the phrase "predictable consequence" and MADE IT WORK!!! Tobbi White-Darks and Blanche McAllister-Dykes sing the MESS outta this song.
The Blessing Is On You: ANOTHER one of my favorites. Kim McFarland sings this like nobody's business. I was in awe watching her at the live recording. She absolutely blew me away. Also, the lyrics really make you think. It kinda furthers the message of "Back II Eden", which says we were deemed to live a beautiful life. And we can have that because the blessing (of abraham) is on us!!!
Word Of My Power: A continuation of "Blessing". Donald and The Company spoke (or sang) words of encouragement over the audience. The message in this song, powerful.
The Blessing of Abraham: Yes, same song, different version. Donald did a slow impromptu version while he was feeling the spirit from the previous song. I think it's wonderful that he kept it on because it shows the emotion that the Spirit can evoke.
Citizens Of The Kingdom: Another FANTASTIC song, and it's one of my faves. Only thing I wish is that Donald would've kept Joey's guitar lick at the beginning. But it's kind of a mix between Donald and a juke joint baptist church. Makes for a great feel. But the song basically says that since we're citizens of the kingdom of God, we need to realize that we have rights and BENEFITS!!!
Let The Word Do The Work: Ladies and gentlemen, Donald Lawrence has gone Holy Hip Hop!!! Lol. Seriously though, this song is a mix of hip hop, Donald Lawrence, big band, juke joint, country gospel quartet, etc. The guest rapper he has is a guy named Brotha Hahz, who attends Pastor Hezekiah Walker's church. He's a great talent and he's certainly speaking the word on this song. I'd put him up there with TRUTH.
I've Got Something: Originally done by Richard Smallwood, this is a great remake. Blanche makes her THIRD appearance on this album and sings this song straight from the soul. This is probably the churchiest that Donald gets on this album, but it's amazing.
Happy Being Me: Another one of my favorites from the album. This song was originally done by Angie Stone, but Donald has Anita Wilson on the lead with Tobbi White-Darks and her sister Tommie White backing her up. He did this one for the ladies and Anita sang this song with such peace and serenity that it is probably my 2nd favorite on the album.
There Is A King In You: This is the tear jerker of the album. You literally have to be somewhere else in your mind to not feel anything on this song. Everyone broke down at the recording on this song. Donald included. Basically says that even though you've been tossed and turned by life, you were born to rule because there's a king living inside you, due to the fact that we are children of God and citizens of the kingdom."
I shouted. Cried out. Rejoiced. Danced & even woke up my nei

"I listen to this CD so much that I felt like I would be doing a disservice to the Kingdom if I didnt' heed to the voice of the Lord... If you are entering a storm or in the midst of your storm or even headed out of your storm this CD will only affirm the change that's getting ready to occur in your life-so sit back and let the Word do the work. It(the CD), along with prayer and supplication, enabled me to put down the marijuana, that's so consumed my idle time for the past 6+ years as well as my addiction to nicotine. I thank God for Donald Lawrence's music minitry over the years, but this CD is just SOPPING with God's annointing and now i'm just SO HAPPY BEING ME-NOT THE ONE I WAS RUNNING FROM, BUT THE ME God has ordained me 2 be. Listen 2 it and I can guarantee you, by the time it has ended your life WILL NEVER BE THE SAME!!!!I know now(like never before) healing/deliverance 4 not only my mind, but my body, as well as my soul is nigh because after playing this CD the 1st time I immediately began to apply the Laws of Confession over my situation and I'm claiming victory in the name of JESUS"
AWESOME

"This is an amazing CD! That goes way beyond just being a fan of a certain artist, or liking a certain style. This is such a powerful CD! If you allow God to plant His Word in you while listening to this CD, your life will NEVER be the same!"
I must confess, This may be his best!!

"From The Word of the Lord to There is a King in you, this is as complete an album as D Lawrence has ever beeen inspired to make. His new/old singers, The Co., are on point the whole project. Back to Eden and the title track are the headliners, but the whole disc is so consistently good, it will be in heavy rotation for a while. Between God's inspiration and Bill Winston's teaching, this is now Donald Lawrence's signature album. Buy it, don't bootleg it, and be blessed by it."
Thank you, Donald

"I don't know if I will ever meet Donald Lawrence in person. If I did I would just want to thank him for making whatever sacrifice it took to deliver such an anointed cd for the body of Christ. This cd did not just happen. It was not created just from good writing skills or gifted singing. No, he went into the enemy's camp and he brought back the spoils. Get the cd; listen to each song; apply what you hear and you will be changed."
