CD ReviewsA Fantastic Meeting Between Two Musical Masters 12/28/1998 (5 out of 5 stars) "This Cd documents a historic meeting between two creative music legends, Anthony Braxton and George Lewis. The concert was recorded on October 23, 1976. The Cd, besides providing the listener with the consistently brilliant musical interplay between Braxton and Lewis, is also extremely diverse. Braxton's compositions are featured (Comp. 6f and Comp. 64) as is a wonderful rendition of Donna Lee, a standard that has been recorded by Braxton before. In sum, by listening to this Cd, people can expand their horizons while hearing the entire history of Jazz in the music of these masters."
