"Bigger World to me is one of the best contemporary gospel albums to have been released. The style of the album is urban contemporary R&B. Donna is a very versatile vocalist. She can sing everything from opera to jazz. One of the more interesting cuts is a reworking of the Duke Ellington standard, Come Sunday. Unfortunately for Donna, this album came out before the immense crossover success of artists like Kirk Franklin. Many of the cuts on this album could have been crossover hits on the R&B charts. But, Warner never marketed it to that audience. Though Yolanda Adams is a wonderful vocalist. I have not heard another gospel artist with the versatility of McElroy. We are sorely missing albums with the depth of thought and range as Bigger World. Lord knows we could use more positive music like this on the airwaves. Now, if only some label would sign her so that we could hear more of her."
