Abstract techno for the adventurous listener

""Linear Accelerator" is a departure from the more techno oriented style that most people associate with Dopplereffekt. "Gesamtkunstwerk" wasn't exactly straightforward techno, but compared to tracks like "Photo Injector" and "Niobium Resonators", it's pratically Jeff Mills! The fact that this was released on DJ Hell's International Deejay Gigolo Records label belies the fact that it's very experimental and abstract. There's almost nothing related to the techno/electro that Hell is known for.
I'm making a big point on the comparisons because listeners will be in for a surprise. I think it's Dopplereffekt's strongest albums from an artistic standpoint. It seems like they threw out the playbook and decided to create something new and fresh. I'm probably biased because this album contains the track "Z-Boson", which is, in my opinion, the single best thing Dopplereffekt has ever done. It practically justifies the entire cost of the album itself.
This will appeal to fans of experimental electronic music. Autechre fans would do well to check this out. It's pretty unique and worth a listen."
