"Doreothy Kirsten was a front line soprano at the Metropolitan for over 30 years, specializing in Puccini and other lyric roles, including surprisingly Madama Butterfly which she sang over 30 times. But, Ms. Kirsten started out as a popular singer on the radio and it shows. She understands this genre, singing songs that require solid voices. The operetta selections are some of the most treasurable, I adore the Victor Herbert selections and the othes with Robert Merrill. Thank you, as always to the wonderful folks at Collectors Choice for making some wonderful older music available to modern audiences. What wouldn't we give for a soprano today with such a rich well supported voice."
