Some dates back to the 1940's so is very scratchy sounding even on CD's. She did however re-record many of her hits over several decades in the 1950's, 60's and 70's. Those on this CD are mainly from 1960's re-recordings so have the advantage of proper stereo sound and full orchestrations. The selection is terrific and quality of sound superb. Its a great starter for anyone wanting to get to know more about the Welsh singer, who was once married to actor Roger Moore. Sadly she died just a couple of years ago!"
