"This review is 4 years late. Somehow this CD escaped my attention when it first came out four years ago. This is a terrific CD full of bouncy grooves punctuated by peppy horn and B3 fills. Throw in some fine original lyrics by leader Don Walsh and guest lead guitar work by Jeff Healey on several tracks you have a fine party cd. The production values are first rate; the bass lines are crisp and clean; the drums snappy; the mixdown is nicely balanced and I especially like the B3 sitting up more in front than usual. My favorite track at the moment is "Tonight I Want to Dance With you." This is a killer slow dance tune with a waltz like tempo with nice B3 (Mike Fonfara)and lead guitar by Jeff Healey. This tune would not have been out of place in a jukebox in the late 50s alongside tracks by Brooke Benton or Sam Cooke or the Moonglows. Except no schmaltzy strings here! The horns and the cool b3 takes care of the texture and the 88s provide a loping momentum along with shimmering second guitar by Mr. Downshild holding down the beat. 4.5 stars."
