"This is not meant to be presented as a real album as other compliations try to do. The title "Concrete Roots" suggests that these are songs that were made when Dre was first emerging as a producer. What seperates this from the other compliations is that Dre actually makes money off of it, which is why it's listed as one of his albums on the Aftermath Entertainment website. If you are a hardcore Dre fan, you should get this. If you like Electro or the early days of NWA you probably won't mind this either. But don't buy this if you are looking for g-funk masterpieces like The Chronic or 2001."
