Synopsis

Album Description
Belgian DJ Dr. Lektroluv is best known for his highly-acclaimed Lektroluv series electro compilations. This is his second release recorded live in an open-air party setting, following 2006's Live Recorded At Extrema Outdoor 2006. This time, Dr. Lektroluv's scorching set was recorded during Rock Werchter, a four-day Belgian festival that has been in existence since 1974 and recently received the Arthur Award for best festival in the world for the third time during the International Live Music Conference. This year performers included the Beastie Boys, The Chemical Brothers, Björk, Faithless, Air, LCD Soundsystem, !!! and Klaxons. Dr. Lektroluv was the only DJ on this year's Rock Werchter line-up, closing the second stage right after the Beastie Boys, smashing the place into pieces with one of his famously tight electro house sets. Dr. Lektroluv places you in the center of electro fun with tracks from Tiga, Mason, LFO and The Subs, while chart-toppers like The Klaxons and Feist give it a current indie/electro crossover feel. Once again, we get a selection that pitches today's current players with some brilliant old school classics. The good Doctor certainly knows how to rock the crowd as you can hear them screaming for more when he lays down some brand new electro cuts from today's finest electronic craftsmen: Spektrum, whose "Kinda New" track was a killer and has just been updated by Dirty South. Also listen out for Claude VonStroke's re-working of the Mighty Dub Katz's "Magic Carpet Ride," which is sure to be a floor-filler. Fusing angular rhythms, sleazy vocals, old and new, he provides yet another vibrant selection for electro lovers everywhere. Other artists include: Acid Jacks, Shiny Toy Guns, Radar, Kavinsky, Teenage Bad Girls, Polysics, Federico Franchi, Moby, Trentemøller, Boys Noize, Tocadisco, Tomboy, Sebastian, MSTRKRFT and Soulwax.
