"I enjoy all of Vernard Johnsons' work. He makes his horn talk. I prefer hearing his live albums because of the audience responses. "I'm Alive" is filled with powerful numbers, however they are cut short similar to demos. He will never equal "Im A Witness" with the Temple C.O.G.I.C. Youth Choir "Live" in Washington, D.C. I plan to feature him in concert with "The World's Greatest Gospel Bass Guitarist", Brother Drue Williams, Jr. This will be gospel music instrumentals at it's best."

"If you love the Saxophone, this is the album for you. Vernard Johnson uses many different technics that most modern Jazz artist do not use. He is able to put Christian music to a bluze atmosphere, that makes his saxophone come alive."
