"JOY RIDE isn't one of the best records of The Dramatics but it brings out "Be My Girl" (one of the best single from the group), "I Just Get Carried Away" a curious song with a curious musical measure, it has "Say the word" and very specially, it has "I can't get over you" sung by Banks with all the strength of his voice! I have the vinyl version, double cover, with photos entire-body of the group's members... Once in a while, I put it to play in the old pick-up that I still keep beside the cd-player. Once in a while... At last, I intend to hear that songs for many years, yet."

"...this is not the original "Joyride" as presented on ABC Records in the 70s, but this is pretty good considering it has some of the best from their ABC Records years. "Welcome Back Home", "I Can't Get Over You", the most excellent slow dance favorite, "Be My Girl" (that's the one the fellas like to try to sing to the ladies). Missing! The great "Just Shopping-Not Buying Anything" from an album I'd wish they'd put out on CD, "Drama V"....but, all in all, you can not beat all this great Dramatics music for this great price...."
