East of Eden is the debut album for singer-songwriter Drew Dillhunt. Recorded on 4-track at creamsicle studios, this folk-rock album chronicles the rocky journey that is your twenties. The album features solid vocals and intelligent lyrics with moods ranging from angry to blissful. Percussive acoustic guitar is punctuated by well-crafted melodies, finely tuned harmonies, and the occasional electric guitar. Mixed by Chad Benson (aka Quinn W. Shagbark) and mastered by Jim McCabe of Estocar, Benson also makes a cameo slide guitar appearance on the tune "Important Calls". Benson and McCabe help to create a subtle fusion of the warm analog sounds from Drew's original recordings and the effects added during the mixing process.
