CD Reviews

Definitely worth hearing

(5 out of 5 stars)

"The Dub Pistols take you on a journey through the land of breaks. I have heard most of the tracks on this album before, but I like all the tracks and they are conveniently mixed together.

The mixing is okay, most of it is just slap fades, but there aren't any train wrecks and the track selection is awesome. It really feels like you're going somewhere when you listen to it.

A few of the tracks worth mentioning are: Northern Lights - Treat Me Better, Afrika Bambaataa - Funky Heroes, and Audio Bullys - Real Life. The last track by Alpinestars brings you down nice and gently and just makes the whole experience feel so good.

I was a bit disappointed with the last Y4K album I bought, Tayo, but I have really enjoyed several other albums from the Y4K series so I thought I'd give this one a shot. I'm really glad I did. If you liked the General Midi Y4K then you'll like this one too.

Oh by the way, Amazon has the wrong cover art linked to this one. They are showing Tayo, not the Dub Pistols.
