"Dudley Perkins is back on his second coming of soulful and introspective grooves on Expressions. I thought this album was great and a breath of fresh air not your typical hip-hop album. It definitely was better than his last album A Lil Bit.I think Madlib came through with the funky beats he's know for this time round to give the listener more than he payed 4. As well as giving Dudley Perkins the right soundtrack to flow 2 with his spoken word slash soulful rhymes. Yo if you love real hip-hop and soul this is the album to get you won't be disappointed."
Grimy, rough and spiritual..

"The Beats:
Dark, bass laden with unique twists and turns. Madlib made these with PASSOIN. These are the types of track I always WANT to hear but can never find. Well, here they are.
The Rhymes:
Dudley's appeal is his vulnerability. I read some reviews that basically stated that Madlib wasted his beats on Dudley. I beleive just the opposite. His voice is unique and he loves God and is not afraid to be vulnerable.
If you want raps about money, women, cars, dime bags and guns..please move on. This is for the grown folks. Can't wait to buy A Lil Light.."
