"Imagine Brahms best solo piano works with all their compex lyrical expression but without all the heaviness nor the intensity. That's what you've got here---an absolutely beautifully written and played collection of these miniature masterpieces which deserve to be heard, and once they are, will be listened to over and over again. The performances here are amazing --- sometimes crisp, sometimes warm---always with an almost perfectly synchonized precision. And the compositions!!! Dvorak must be the one of histories most sadly underrated composers, known mainly for his 9th symphony, Slavonic Dances and perhaps a few other works. But this recording shows an entirely different side of Dvorak's music----lyrical, inventive, intricate and above all---beautiful."
