"Whatever else the Beaux Arts Trio may be, above all, they are consistant. I have yet to purchase an unsatisfying performance from them, and this one is no exception. The only better pairing of these two works that I've heard is by Susan Tomes and company (Domus Quartet) on Hyperion, at almost double the price. Both of these are splendid listening and both are strongly recommended. Of course if you are just looking for op.87, then there are more options. Rubinstein has a great one (out of print) paired with Schumann's op.44 as well as Pressler/Emerson Quartet."
