"I had to have a copy of Dvorak's New World on SACD, so I decided on this Pentatone release. I couldn't be happier. The recording process really brings out the strong dynamics of the symphony. I view the inclusion of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet Overture as a welcome bonus, as it is treated with the same respect. The Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra is fantastic and shows off its incredible talent. If I had to choose one thing I didn't like, it would be that Kreizberg's interpretation can be almost too dramatic at times, but he does manage to get the listener involved in the piece, and comes through when it matters.
If you enjoy Dvorak's 9th Symphony grab this recording, and grab a SACD player if you haven't yet. This is my first experience with Pentatone's SACD line and I am very impressed."
