I'll never get tired of these!

"This is by far two of the greatest recordings of these works of the century!
The Brahms Double with the famed trio is played with incredible warmth, liveliness, beauty and passion! I've rarely heard the amount of fire than that contained within this rendition of the Brahms!
But the jewel is the Dvorak! It's a miracle! It's got it all, absolutely everything! Szell shines with the glorious Czech Philharmonic, like a golden age of a civilization!
This Naxos is one of the gems of my collection! A real desert island disc! Mark Obert-Thorn has done an amazing job at handling the remasterings, giving them full presence and opulance of sound, with hardly any tape hiss!
I was considering getting the latest EMI release of Casals in "Great Artists of the Century". It's got the Dvorak concerto, the Elgar concerto and the Bruch Kol Nidri, but I really wanted the Brahms Double. And so I had to make a very hard sacrifice, but it was so worth it!
So, to conclude...these are the best renditions of these works that have ever been commited to disc! One of the best discs in my collection! I'll never get tired of these!

"The presence of Alfred Cortot in the podium, and the artistic height of these two soloists, really meant for that moment and even for the posterity a priceless musical treasure. Just a efw versions are capable to overcome this one.
But with Dvorak 's Cello Concerto, Casals literally, signed with golden letters his name. No other soloist has been able even to get close before this epic, colossal and supreme performance.
Certainly, this recording still remains as one the most legendary recordings of the XX Century.
So, the question is not to acquire it or not, but are you able to do without this treasure?
