"I must admit to having mixed feelings about Perlman. At times, he seems more preoccupied with showing off his fabulous technique and he fails to delve into the music. On this album, however, he is very focused, and the result is the most beautiful playing I've heard since Heifetz.Barenboim is his usual professional self, and they make irresistible music here. It's an album that continues to amaze and satisy."
Wonderful emotional work!

"I am just beginning to learn how to play this piece and the recording has helped out a lot. Itzahk Perlman does a wonderful job of showing the many "flavors" and techniques of this work. Five stars with shining colors!"
