Evil Forces by the band E-Force
R. Johnson | Sterling, VA | 09/19/2005
(3 out of 5 stars)

""E-Force" is Eric Forrest's Voivod name. Everyone had a rock 'n' roll moniker in that band, though Forrest's wasn't used often at all while he was a member. Voivod fans will be pleased up to an extent with this record if they are fans of the era of the band which is defined by his tenure. Actually, if there were another member this record wouldn't work to the extent that it does, mostly because of the vocals. Forrest is an excellent singer for this kind of music, moreso in Voivod than E-Force because in the former he employed more of his range. But E-Force kind of sounds like Bolt Thrower as well because of the twin guitar rhythm work and the overabundance of double bass drums. The record is kind of chaotic and almost sounds sloppy although it isn't - it's just because it sounds like it's barely contained. Bottom line, this record is a good listen but won't blow you away. I'm not dissapointed that I purchased this album."
Good,Fast,Loud,Heavy.....uhhhhhh METAL!!!

"Yeah so I bought this for three reasons. 1.)Voivod's ex frontman is in the band 2.)It's thrash metal(it tells you this righ on the advertising sticker) and 3.)He has songs like Satanic Rituals. I don't think the other dude who reviewed this understands that Satan and metal just go together. So anyhow I threw this cd in my car cd player and cranked it waiting for some awesome metal....and I got it. It's just a good cd to have if you appreciate fast aggressive metal. I like this cd although its not Voivod:War and Pain or Kreator:Endless Pain, but very good none the less. I'm not going to analyize this cd I'm just going to tell you if you like heavy and aggressive thrash then pick it up guys and gals. I also recommend you get Celtic Frost,Onslaught,Death,Dark Angel,Kreator,Mercyful Fate...just a few bands for people who wants some excellent metal with no NU-Metal bullcrap attached! Up the Irons!!!! Hail Satan!!!"
