"I had heard a few tracks off of this album before and, tantalized by what I had stumbled across, I bought it. I've sort of been in this pleasure-induced coma for about three years now because I finally sat down and listened to the whole thing from start to finish. I can honestly say, without a doubt, that this is my favorite album by anybody. The songs are perfect, but put in conjunction with each other, the entire album comes across like some Zen bliss meditation, transporting the listener (me) to some strange realm of impossible glory. By which I mean I ran around hyperventilating and calling everybody I knew to tell them to go buy it. As each track ends, it feels like being brought back to life after a particularly comforting near-death experience. You see the light, and then suddenly it's over and you curse the [...] who gave you CPR and hauled you back from the pearly gates. It's a minor tragedy that this ever ends at all.



If you're not hooked by the first five seconds of the first track alone, there's probably something a bit unseemly about you. The whole album is like this. It's all thrilling, every second of it, and it makes every other album look that much more grey and unworthy by comparison. You should buy this. Seriously.



I don't care who you are or what sort of music you like, when I find out you don't own this album, I like you less."
