The Great Ed Bruce

"Whether he's singing folk (his early days), country (the hit years) or gospel (his latter years), Ed Bruce has one of the best voices in music...any type of music. There was only one song here I didn't care for and that was "Jesus Loved the Hell Out of Me." But the beautiful "For My Good and To Your Glory" is, alone, worth the price of this c.d. Thank you Ed for continuing to put out your music for our listening pleasure. I wish there was a box set of every song this man has ever recorded."
The "other" voice!

"While Vern Gosdin has been called "The Voice" for many years, Ed Bruce's voice is equally amazing! This recently released collection of songs shows that this seasoned singer still has it ALL OVER much of the "talent" out there these days. I'm just annoyed that Amazon can't even post a picture of the cover of this CD, nor can they provide song samples! What's that all about? If you go to iTunes, there is a picture AND samples. Plus you can download the entire album for "a song." Ed Bruce is a consistently underrated talent who outshines most of the "superstars" out there. This is a beautiful collection of soulful songs that really showcase Ed Bruce's awesome voice. He has only gotten better with age, as have many of the great ones out there like Haggard, Jones, Ray Price, Gene Watson, etc. It's just too bad that the mainstream music world and the commericial radio stations refuse to acknowledge the amazing amount of talent still out there. But the more mature artists keep putting out the great songs and that makes us fans of these so-often-overlooked gems very happy. Good work, Ed!!"
