CD ReviewsComplex 11/23/2000 (4 out of 5 stars) "This is an extraordinarily complex and rich CD, not exactly what you would expect from its title but surprisingly fresh and pleasing. According to the booklet, Hamilton believes that there is a place for blending the old and the new in the jazz that he plays and although this may not be transparent to the ear at first it is quite rewarding once you listen to the music over and over again. It is smooth and well rounded. Easily transgressing into new age and coming back into more subtle and traditional jazz sounds, which I guess is what he was shooting for. A good buy."
