Album Description2010 two CD collection. Although only 21 years of age when he died in April 1960, Eddie Cochran was one of the most important artists of the Rock 'n' Roll era - most notably as an inventive, influential guitarist. Like Buddy Holly, who died a year earlier, Eddie was one of the first Rock 'n' Rollers to experiment in the studio with overdubbing techniques, and he was also active as a writer, producer, arranger and session musician. Also like Holly, Cochran wrote many of his own hits, including such pivotal anthems as 'Twenty Flight Rock', 'Summertime Blues', 'C'mon Everybody', 'Somethin' Else', 'Three Steps To Heaven', and 'My Way'. Alongside his celebrated hits are many collectors' rarities together with alternate takes and demos. This unique compilation spanning a massive 64 tracks traces Eddie's career from a couple of his earliest, mid-'50s C&W sides through to his all-too brief career as a Rock icon. Jasmine.
