"if you really wanna feel eddie hazel get rest in p cause the same songs on here are on rest in p only that version has the complete recordings. so if you get rest in p-there is no need to get this-cause you get all these tracks here only longer versions- plus extra unreleased stuff."

"Eddie Hazel proves himself to be an awsome musician on this album. It's laid back and jammy. If you like Jimmi Hendrix's Band of Gypsys material there's a good chance you'll like this. The only thing holding this back from being 5 stars is the productiuon. Unfortunately, the volume seems to be low. It's not a thick and full sound. Four songs, I wish there were more."

"Eddie Hazel - what a mystery. Has anyone compiled a list of songs he's played on? I'm sure not. Besides the first 3 Funkadelic CD's, and Hardcore Jollies, and Standing on the Verge of Getting it On, it's near impossible. Apparently our beloved George didn't do any better of a job keeping track of who was playing than he did with the Books.
Through some wonderful reviewers (most notably Sherance Brothers who speaks The Truth), I've begun a list of my own.
Questions galore - did Eddie play with Undisputed Truth? On what cuts? "What It Is" for one, I bet.
Did he play on "I'll Stay" (from Standing On the Verge)? How about on the live cut on that CD of Cosmic Slop - is that Eddie??
And Axiom Funk - Funkcronomicon. Eddie is on at least 3 cuts of that truly awesome double CD (if you don't have it, get it!).
Bootsy's Lord of the Harvest "Zillatron" - what cuts?Ok, so is ANYONE brave enough to attack the Live stuff? I've seen these guys in concert - I'm not sure they even know who's there that night, let alone who played on a cut they recorded live 6 months previous. I'm only interested in the notable songs that Eddie played on. BTW, the Live Meadowbrook will knock you off your feet - especially the opening couple tracks and the close. Get this for some great "Purple Hazel" raw funk rock jamming. (P.S. I *liked* the drums on most of this!!!)I'll add another note to this in a month - after some further research. But if anyone would like to help, please let me know.BTW, this CD (Jams From the Heart) is not that good - Rest in P is better, and Game/Dames/Guitar Things is significantly better if you can ever find it - California Dreaming, indeed! The production quality is lacking, there's no liner notes, it sounds more like demo cuts & ad hoc playing and you just wish you could get into the vault and mix your own (Come'On George, give some of us a week in there!).
