Great record

"This is an excellent record. On first impressions it is well recorded and the trumpet is so lyrical and in tune. The influnence of Miles is evident throughout although this trumpeter has clearly his own angle on everything he plays. Alhough lesser known than some of his contemporaries, Henderson is clearly a mature player with chops and musical sincerity. Every track features masterful solos and not a weak moment throughout by ant musician. Highpoints include 'Goodbye' and' Punjab'. The emphasis here is on musical embelishment rather than conceptual forms, hence the ballads... great stuff! JM"
