Album DescriptionPersistence, patience and certainty describes Jackson, Mississippi based Airtight Records. Founded in 1995 as a production company, owners Derek Martin and Darryl Pete knew early on that they had a unique and special talent for creating innovative music. Airtight's very first production effort, 1995's Jacktown 601 by Wildlife Society on Blunt/TVT Records garnered an instant hit with "Homie Love" which debuted at #30 on Billboard's Rap Singles chart. This was followed by a succession of hits, which included production credits for the soundtracks to "Phat Beach", "Whiteboys", and "Why do Fools Fall in Love".
