Synopsis

Album Description
2009 release from this collaborative project based around the core duo of Stephen Carey (Adoration) and Tony Pettitt (Fields Of The Nephilim). They enlisted four girls as co-writers and vocalists: - Julianne Regan (All About Eve), Evi Vine, Amandine Ferrari and Monica Richards (Faith & The Muse), and recruited violinist Bob Loveday as well as Tony's old bandmates and various others. The results have been described as a cross between Cocteau Twins, Massive Attack and Pink Floyd and This Mortal Coil mixed with the Nephilim's cult album Elysium. 10 tracks. Jungle.

CD Reviews

To Believe in Something...
Michael J. Casteel | 06/07/2009
(5 out of 5 stars)

"We saw The Eden House at Wave Gotik Treffen last week. It was their second live show ever. Stupendous, tremendous, chills down the spine, feet flying, heart pounding music that speaks to the soul. If Susan Tedeschi was twins and they hooked up with U2, it would sound like The Eden House. The live show was more like the track "To Believe in Something," than much of the ethereal material on this album, but it is all wonderful. You can really hear the influence of Tony Pettitt (Fields of the Nephilim) throughout. The new lead guitar is a violin. I agree with those who compare this album with Pink Floyd - that is old Floyd, in the Dark Side of the Moon days.

The bottom line - BUY THIS CD!!! Or rot in a world of hip-hop, 60 year old rockers and art school "the" bands.

Me - I want to believe in something and for now it is this group of musicians."

"Definitively 2009's album of the year, stellar musicians and performance. What else can one possibly want?"
