One of his top two

"I have been a fan of Edgar Cruz for ten years. His early stuff was brilliant enough but then he surpassed himself on his "Those Were the Days" and "Opening Night." I enjoyed his other CDs but nothing approached the brilliance of those two CDs until this one. "Spanish Blood" was a reluctant purchase: I confess that I know little about Spanish music and wasn't sure I would enjoy this. Wow, was I wrong! This CD is nothing but shockingly brilliant. His cover of Procol Harem's "Conquistador" will make your jaw drop. When you listen to "Light My Fire" or any of the other tunes here you will shake your head at the realization that all of this is coming from one guitar. Just. One. Amazing.
Don't get me wrong, his other stuff like "A.R.T. of Edgar Cruz" and "Classical Demands" are very, very good, but "Spanish Blood", "Those Were the Days", and "Opening Night" are brilliant beyond words."
