Wonderful and underrated band with an inspiring message

"I was just getting into gothic and industrial music when I discovered Ego Likeness, mainly due to their close connections with their more popular labelmates The Cruxshadows.
So I picked up Ego Likeness' Order of the Reptile, and wasn't the least bit disappointed.
The songs on this CD are infused with Steven Archer's powerful use of guitar and wonderfully sung by Donna Lynch, who actually sings it like she *means* it: unlike other goth/industrial bands I could name (cough*Cruxshadows*cough), Ego Likeness' songs actually sound honest and from the heart, with such songs as "World of Shame", "Burn Witch Burn" and "Raise Your Red Flags" using the power of words to draw a complex portrait of a strange, fantastic other land, and at the same time providing the listener with a beautiful message of hope and perseverance amidst a dark and hostile world.
Even if you don't like this kind of music, it's definitely worth a listen.
Five stars all around."
A definite evolution of a great band

"Order of the Reptile is a huge step forward for Ego Likeness. Donna's voice and Steve's song writing will stay with you and make you want to dance. My personal favorites off this album are Severine and Burn Witch Burn for club play, S.O.S. and Raise Your Red Flag for personal quiet time music. You really can't go wrong with this album.
And keep your eyes open for Ego Likeness, they tour constantly (it seems) and put on a great show."

"BUY THIS CD! Ego Likeness is at the top of their game. I saw them twice when they opened for The Cruxshadows and they without doubt was the highlight of the show. Their cover of Afterhours is very good. Donna's voice will stay with you for days. Just listen to Burn Witch Burn and try not to sing along. One of the best cds in a long time."
