CD Reviews

Brings back good memories

"This was a very long awaited release for me. I bought the original LP when new in 1969, my senior year in high school. Through the years I have worn out three copies of that piece of vinyl. I first bought it because of the groups previous album The Electric Prunes: I Had Too Much to Dream (Last Night). Was I ever surprised to hear what was recoreded. I don't know exactly what the attraction ever was but I have loved Release of An Oath since first spinning it. I highly recommend this to anyone who just likes to close their eyes and listen to classical style inspirational music with a rock flair."

"...for this fantastic album. Pull your heads out of your arses & listen without prejudice. I don't know the full story as to why it was released under the name of The Electric Prunes, but when the music is this transcendent, who the f**k cares?"
Yes, this is the real E Prunes!

"Sorry to have to disagree with the other post, but I know from it's first

release in the late 60's, this is the real Electric Prunes! This is one of those

lost-in-the-vault classics from the psychedelic era-

one of the many strange branches that people took off on during their search

to find the way... music was so diverse then!

You don't have to be religious to get this, but maybe you have to be

having an out of body experience, no?

Over the years this sure has grown on me, recommended for any fringe hunters!"
