"Eleftheria has one of the most beautiful female voices in any language! It does not matter if you do not understand a word of Greek, her voice is so pure and heavenly, it comes out as a separate instrument..The music is very beautiful as well, not your traditional Greek folk,nor is it pop..it is a mixture of both and the result is very original, modern and universal.
Pity they aren't many Eleftheria's recordings in US, for I would recommend highly her 'Greatest Hits'(widely available in UK) which would be a great start, as it contains some of her best output..but Meno Ektos is a wonderful CD nonetheless..Listen to that voice and you, like me, will be totally captivated by this wonderful artist!"

"It is amazing how Arvanitaki keeps developing from folk singer to a singer of music from various traditions - and how well she embraces these other ones. The song "Meno ektos" ("I still remain an outcast") if of course one of her best of recent years but it's not the only outstanding track here. And if you like this CD, check out her compilation "Very best of...", you won't be disappointed. She's the best contemporary female Greek singer side by side with the other great one, Haris Alexiou."
