"Who could say that this is NOT the best work of Arvanitaki?Nobody,of course! The Greek hobby is taking poems and put music within them.Many-many examples exist for everyone to realise it's a truth! But this work is classified as a masterpiece.Far beyond a feeling of lightness,it's a work that highens the spirit,a spiritual nutrition! If only you could understand Greek! Except for Arvanitaki,a special "thanks" to the composer,Dimitris Papadimitriou, who united the Nobel-awarded poems of Elytis, the modern ones of Ganas, the older of Karyotakis and Polydouri, and the ancient lyrics of Sapfo,to create this excellent masterpiece!"
... for music lovers.....

"She is singing..and she's the most importand and characteristic voice of Greece..and maybe the world.Eleytheria Arvanitaki! it would worth to..learn the Greek language, only for the ability of understanding these lyrics..how often can someone listen to an incredible voice singing real poetry, among others, by a Nobell prize awarded poet? ..(Odysseas Ellytis) This work is civilization! after milleniums, it would be of the finest examples of today's culture of our planet.-"

"I loved it! My family loved it! My friends loved it! A sound so rich in emotions and so elegant in its form! Has the quality and strength to travel you in your soul and the world outside. A beautiful journey! What amazes me also is that, at least until now, the more I listen to this CD the more I appreciate it. And what a nice package also!
Wanted to find translations of the poems but this was not easy..! Nevertheless, I found this book (amazon.com has it): "The Collected Poems of Odysseus Elytis". Elytis is one of the poets in this work and this book may give an idea of the words being sung herein."

"I don't know Greek, and the package (a beautiful coil bound booklet of poems) is all in Greek without translations -- who needs them? -- because the music itself speaks of love, tragedy and moonlit ballads. Perfect for a quiet evening dinner for two outdoors and a bottle of wine."
