Barnes | Philly | 12/07/2008 (5 out of 5 stars) "This disc gathers together some of the techno tracks released by Carl Craig in the late 80s/early 90s under the names Psyche and BFC. If you only got into Carl Craig in the mid-90s, be warned that this is more traditional techno than his more recent work. On the other hand, it isn't generic techno. These tracks really stood out back when they were released. However, since this material has been released, hundreds of techno tracks inspired by the songs on this disc have been released. So if you are hearing these songs for the first time now then you may not be impressed.
If you are into the historical roots of techno, and you feel like owning a piece of history, then this is for you. Anyone interested in this album should also own: Innovator by Derrick May Classics by Model 500" |
